Gary Baucom
Gary Baucom opened the Quincy Karate Club in March, 1985 at 11 South 11th Street in Quincy, Illinois. The Dojo remained at that location for nine years until it was moved to its present location in July 1994.

Gary started his karate training in October, 1974, with Jerry Tuzzo at the Quincy Karate Academy. he earned his Black Belt in 1977 and taught at Quincy Karate Academy and the Nautilus Martial Arts Center until he opened his own Dojo in 1985. He has been active on the tournament and seminar circuit where he has had the opportunity to compete against and train with karateka from across the country and from different parts of the world. He has had many teachers from different styles and arts. He believes one can learn something from everyone if you keep an open mind
